My eldest daughter, who is a crack shot in real life and an excellent sniper in some of these online games, derived considerable protection from being a girl.

She didn't tell them herself, mind you. Some of her teammates got quite huffy when some other gamers used rude language to her. Word travelled like wildfire that there was a lady in the room. She found it amusing and annoying, simultaneously.
