Sending Humans by Interstellar Western Union
That idea has been considered in the past for sending people on interstellar journies, of a sort. If it's too much to send actual humans to the stars, radio or optical beam detailed information on our makeup to a hopefully friendly ETI at the other end and have them reconstruct the humans there.
Can you say this has all kinds of issues and problems to tackle first?
