In terms of respect for law...
What kind of person is the sort who will jump through expensive and inconvenient legal hoops to get the right to carry a gun?
What kind of person is the sort who will simply buy one on the street or steal one?
Which one do you think is more likely to do more damage in society? Statistically, which ones actually do more damage in society?
This photo was found on Trayvon Martin's cell phone.
To the best of my knowledge, it was ruled not admissible. While it's obvious the person holding the gun took the picture, there's no evidence just from the photo that it's Martin holding the gun. If not, the photo must come from someone he knows. The investigators studying the cell phone would know if it was a transmitted or received photo.
In any case, we're talking about legal hoops. I'll take bets on whether this particular gun has a right-to-carry permit associated with it.

- Psychotic Destruction: Day One
- In Florida, everything that happened on both sides of the confrontation was perfectly legal.
- It sounds like you're really looking forward to that "psychotic destruction" part.
- Do you suppose it would have happened had there been no concealed carry?
- This whole case wouldn't even have made the national news under normal circumstances.
