I think you can make some pretty good assumptions by the way people dress.
Not always, of course, but you can at least tell what they want you to think about them, or their socio-economic or mental status.
And there are stories of the bum who walks into a Rolls-Royce agency and has to pester someone into selling him one, but those are told because they are so unusual.
