Maybe you missed it, but there's a shooting war going on in the ME, non-shooting elsewhere around the globe, and the govt decided to spend much billions on the Homeland Security jobs program, ensuring that grandmothers and "healthy" young women boarding airplanes don't carry nail cutters in their shoes or undergarments. Oh, and some lamebrain President decided to spend big bucks on "no child left behind" and a heavily subsidized drug program for geezers.
