You only want to talk about one thing, and you get furious when other people don't. And why don't we want to talk about it? Because you get furious when we don't agree with you. Tom, we are under no obligation to provide you with an audience, and certainly under no obligation to provide you with a docile, compliant and agreeable audience.
Just think how patronizing it is, how insulting it is to people you are presumably tying to persuade. You have a vision of how the world works that you bring here every day and then you demand we debate you about it. And then you insist the debate be carried out under your rules. That's the kind of behavior you'd expect from a rabid Jesus freak, sports fan, UFO nut or someone who really cares what Justin Bieber is up to.
If you don't like the way the world works, you should do something about it, on your time. But its not our fault, and even if it were, there's absolutely nothing we can do to make you feel any better.
If these issues bother you so much, perhaps you might consider why we don't seem to get so worked up about them. And don't tell us we're too stupid or too scared to know any better. We are not stupid, and the only fear I smell here is yours.
