You missed the point
Mr. Levengood erroenously concluded that entirely terrestrial iron filings were particles of meteoric spacedust from outer space. It was just rusty iron filings.
The point is the Levengood is a charlatan who makes stuff up. This is just of several cases where he got caught.
If you ever try and actually find about his so-called "Pinelandia Biophysical Laboratory," you would learn that it doesn't actually exist. Its just a garden shed in his backyard.
