They're killing Sunnis who want to participate in the elections because they're against elections. Which part of all this isn't blindingly obvious?

I don't see this changing if Americans leave. They do not want a democratic Iraq, and their actions would be the same whether we were there or not. What part of THAT isn't blindingly obvious?

This isn't about "occupation." If you can't get past that, you aren't going to get much real analysis done.

That's good, but what's the replenishment rate for insurgents?

Good question. Coalition troops are capturing people who have been coerced or paid for insurgent or terror actions. The going price for an attack on the coalition is about three times what it was a while ago. Car bombers are found drugged and tied to steering wheels. Who's being captured? Teenagers. Illiterates. Cannon fodder. Zarqawi is not fielding the best and brightest. Almost every suicide bomber is from another country. Even the Sunnis are turning against the insurgency.

If anyone is getting boilerplate from the same tired sources, you are. I'm researching the hell out of this stuff, sometimes hitting dozens of different websites and news sources a day. I only post a fraction of it here. When was the last time you saw Donald quote anything other than a Seattle opinion page?
