I personally think Brown should be replaced because I think the head of FEMA should be both a good manager and a disaster expert and there is evidence Brown is neither. Unlike many of the blame game issues this one is also relevant because FEMA's role is ongoing. However, I have to wonder if you showed much concern when O'Keefe was named NASA director without qualifications specific to the government organization he was nominated to lead. While not as critical as FEMA that job also had life and death implications.
I don't think Brown deserves much defense, but if he was unqualified the Democrats who confirmed him are just as culpable as the Republican who nominated him. The political spoils game is an old one practiced by both parties. Spare me the partisan charade that its unique to the Republicans. Both parties need a shakeup to stop all this politics as usual BS. The country needs competant people like Mike Griffen as head of government agencies.

Mark
