Chertoff's news conference

Robert — 9/9/2005 6:13:53 PM (archived)

I just watched Chertoff's news conference. He said very little of substance, naturally. During a brief QA period a reporter tried to question Brown directly, and Chertoff shut that down quickly. Brown's only visible presence was as the conference ended, as he walked off the stage with Certoff...smiling broadly.

In the analysis afterward an MSNBC reporter recounted Brown's remarks to AP:

I'm anxious to get back to Washington DC to correct all the inaccuracies and lies that are being told about me.

That should be interesting.
