Brown's resume has already been discovered to be, to put it charitably, "inflated". See How Reliable Is Brown's Resume? by Time Magazine. I checked out his online profile at FindLaw, and noticed that it was revised just yesterday. Time to make local copies of documents like that before the Bush Administration has a chance to disappear them.
Think that's just paranoia? Brown's bio on whitehouse.gov has a last-modified date of September 3. Why would that be, do you think? The version in the Google cache was retrieved the 6th, so now it's hard to say just what was removed or changed. Ditto the FindLaw profile in the cache--Sept 9th. Google has a form where Web site operators can request a cache flush and re-retrieval; I wonder what their records would show about who requested that the old documents be removed from the cache. Google normally works on about a six-week cycle spidering the Web. It's hard to ascribe to coincidence that those documents were both flushed from the cache within three days of each other, and in both cases immediately after they were revised. Somebody's on the ball.
Oh, but wait, there's more. I made the mistake--initially--of trusting the footnote at the bottom of the FEMA bio that says "Last updated: Wednesday, 22-Jun-2005 11:25:20 EDT". But when I checked the actual page properties, the last-modified date was today. "last-modified" is the name of a header that all Web servers return indicating the timestamp of last modification of the file as indicated by the server's operating system. The file was touched by somebody, and it looks like he missed covering one of this tracks.
Be careful where you get your facts, Tom.

What facts would those be?
