All evidence of your personal biases will be ignored. The issue is why don't you apply high standards across the board.
You make a big deal out of Brown when it's a hot political topic, but not Okeefe which was not. Okeefe was totaly incompetant to judge the safety of America's space program. Now I realize circumstances highlight Brown's inadequacy and it's not quite fair to judge lack of attention at other times with post disaster scrutiny. However, we did have a shuttle burn up on Okeefe's watch without similar issues being raised. The difference is the Democrat's didn't have a constituancy they could exploit as a result of the shuttle disaster.
I consider politicians who pander to the moment without regard to previous positions scumbags, and partisan shrills behaving similarly aren't much better. I'll give you a pass on no concern expressed during Brown's nomination because I doubt many of us were paying attention to that, but that doesn't excuse the Democrats in Congress for playing along with the political spoils rules (wouldn't want to rock the boat when their time comes)

Mark
