Sorry, but countries are not allowed (by international law existing since the 17th century-Hugo Grotius) to invade another country unless there's proof that country was a threat to its neighbours.
After gulf war 1, Saddam did not invade another country and was controled by the UN and the UN did destroy weapons and did not find WMDs, later. Neither did the US inspectors after the invasion.
Your president thought he could re-invent international law and he's still stuck there with occupying troops.
