I hope you are not equating opposition to Bush's gas guzzling, big fin, blustering flamboyant, stogy, inflexible ways to un-Americanism?
From my perspective Bush does indeed symbolize some of the very things I see as flaws in my country and our system of government.
Bush is the poster-boy for bogus-Americanism. Look at the Herculian efforts of his apologist to spin the things he says. Of course he is a polarizing factor. Any American that loves his country is automatically repulsed by Bush, Rove, Cheney, and the minions that are perverting everything this country has stood for.
