Scott, I really hope it becomes a beacon of democracy but the early indications are that it's leaning heavily towards becoming a Shiite theocracy with strong ties to Iran. I simply can't see how that's in our best interest.

I'm all ears if you can explain to me, given the demographics of the area, how that scary outcome is not going to happen after we leave (if we ever do).
