By which I mean, no need to apologize for your precious attitude to your own posts ('pearls'), but for the slur.
On my part I sincerely apologize if you feel I have insulted your family and friends. I only meant to insult your religion (or ex-religion) on the basis of its PROVEN TRACK RECORD.
I will now list some points on how I feel about Catholicism (mixed feelings, so the points are contradictory):
1) Yes I strongly acknowledge many Catholics are NOT anti Jewish. However, yes of course Catholicism overall, is anti Jewish. Do you really need the list of pogroms, tortures, massacres directly instigated by the Catholic Church. Even in the last few centuries the dead run into the millions. Don't make me actually have to prove it, it would be like teaching an adult how to suck eggs.
1)a) the theology is bizarre and I can't stand the imagery (that poor Jewish guy nailed to a cross). However really that's none of my concern and each to his own. I guess all theologies are pretty bizarre.
2) the late Pope John Paul was probably the greatest of all popes and I am very sorry he is no longer with us.
3) the most influences in life for me are the great composers - many religious ones like Mozart and Stravinsky. Stravinsky was a deeply religious Greek orthodox Catholic who wrote many masses in Latin - and also some canticles in Hebrew. I've loved this guy since I was a teenager.
4)For many years I have listened and followed moral advice from religious Catholic friends and acquaintances. I admired their high sense of principle and morality and so thought I should learn a thing or two.
5)my mother's life was saved by a religious Catholic woman.
Point 5 is pretty significant isn't it. I didn't want to mention it but must in order to fully explain myself publicly.
Because of your quite strange behaviour regarding me in the past, I quite strongly dislike you personally; however I definitely do NOT wish you any ill or misfortune. I hope this post can wrap things up for now.
