Complacency indicates a lack of awareness. I don't think I suffer from that. I'm well aware that, if some religious faction destroys the separation of church and state in the US, I'll be hunted for food. It's just that I try not to let others control my emotions with their derision and try to use that against them or find humor in it. Should it become more than that I'll simply become well-armed.
