The US should be marketing them
One seat electric powered city vehicles. Something you can get around in suburban areas. Didn't the Japanese have one with another small passenger seat?
If they're made smaller with sturdy bumpers, and the fuel economy is exceptional, I can see there being a huge market for the those commuters. Easy to park at work and at home. Leave the SUV at home with the wife to pick up the kids and get them to soccer practise in the suburbs.
We are living in the stone age almost as far as car manufacturing is going. The larger companies are so afraid to break the mold.
We're long overdue.
