re: V is for very very good

I saw it. Not bad at all, but the comic was much better.

Waiting for the avalanche from the Left showing the parallels with our current administration. Some of them were added into the movie deliberately. I noticed the gratuitous Koran-hatred thrown into the movie. It isn't in the comic.

Ironically, the original comic was written in England in 1981 when Thatcher had been Prime Minister for about two years, and as with Reagan in the U.S., the right-thinking people in that nation were utterly convinced that under Thatcher, England would immediately devolve to a right-wing totalitarian nation. As far as I can tell, not one word of the rhetoric has changed since then.

The comic is densely written, with somewhat muddy art, but it is a classic, with a lot more philosophy than the movie had, and highly recommended.
