Ummm, I am ignorant on this topic...

From listening to the reviews, and remember I may be wrong, it sounds like the 'hero' of the movie is a terrorist... maybe it is a good movie, but I don't like the message.

Lets look at american history... how has social and political change occurred? Ok there was the revolutionary war, and the Civil war... but since then it has been by peaceful means...

The McCarthy era was a time where America was headed for totalitarianism... But a few brave people stood up and destroyed McCarthy- peacefully...

The civil rights struggle is another example, people stood up peacefully, yet forcefully, to demand change- Americans saw the dogs and firehoses turned on peaceful protesters and the protesters won...

Pacifist uprising is about the most powerful weapon you can imagine, see India...

Pacifism is a way of forcing a totalitarian government to destroy itself....

Above rant aside, stories portraying the outnumbered 'freedom fighter/terrorist' can be fun to read... heinlien's book 'The Fifth Column' was pretty good, it was about the overthow of a theocracy... when I was a kid I read a book about a terrorist trying to destroy an alien occupation of Earth-(Help me with this one) I do not remember the title but the protagonist was known as 'The Pilgram'...

Harry Turtledove in his 'World War' alternate history has the protagonists using terrorist tactics...

It makes great reading, but the reality is evil.
