Did here. Not on the facts, those are correct. And as with Rodney King, even if they're down you keep kicking 'em until they give up. Wanted to come back for a second and clear that up. In most matters it pays to be gracious. Some it doesn't.

As for moderators and posters, as you have pointed out it's a fiction that one is separate from the other. One doesn't HAVE to be a moderator, but once one is they represent the entire site at all times. Sorry, it's that way with a lot of things. One gives up some independence when one accepts the responsibility. Not that moderators can't have opinions, just that they should behave like people who have been raised by humans. Half-bright humans.

And one doesn't HAVE to appoint the most childish, immature and stupid to be represented among the moderators. And once they do, well, that endorsement reflects on the appointer and the 'Zone. It's true children grow, but childish doesn't. Immaturity is cute in 6 y/os, not so cute in 16 y/os. And stupid is forever, as you can observe in the moderator board.

Sadly reflects.

Anyway.

My overall response was childish. Wish I hadn't done that in that manner. And, I did.

So, I'll stand by my assessments of the neocons. Chickenshit, cruel, dishonest and cowardly, lying sons-of-bitches, anti-American in the extreme, like the people Christ chased from the temple, all of 'em. Kinda interesting, they hide behind religion and/or the flag, disgrace both.

And, I will take a break. Been spending too much time on the computer, have to plan my summers hike, 1000 miles from a ways into Oregon south to Mt. Whitney on the PCT and out, a logistics nightmare.

Also, to brag a bit, I've invented a light-weight unit for heating, light and cooking in extreme conditions. A titanium manufacturer heard about 'em and has expressed an interest in manufacturing and marketing. That could be fun, but all I have are rough prototypes. They do work, though, and fill a need in survival situations. Gotta smooth 'em out, and, of course, may have to go into the Andes to field test the little jewels.
