The Senate Ethics Committee says it is inappropriate to accept gifts with regards to influence of a ruling and that is what this is about. See Chapter 1 under gifts. It doesn’t matter whether it was from a other state government.
Go ahead, tell me that if McCain didn’t pay for the tickets and Reid did, the democrats especially Nancy Poleis wouldn’t be crying, culture of corruption for the republicans once again.
