Nevada politics makes Louisiana look like a paragon of virtue, and if that's all anyone can hang on Reid, he'd have to be called a saint.
I'm sure Steve's intent, based on the subject line, is to make Democrats feel embarrassed. I don't know why--you have to approach Congressional ethics on a statistical basis. With 535 politicians gathered in one place, you can count on a percentage of them being crooks. We settle for calling Congress "ethical" if the corruption falls below a certain level and it's not in our faces all the time.
Not only don't I feel any twinges at news of Democratic corruption, I think it's a good thing to keep a fair accounting of all the corruption. When it comes time to add up the totals and judge who needs to be thrown out of office, it's important that neither side be able to claim that the statistics of Congressional corruption are biased.
