I just finished watching History's Channel, Little Ice Age: Big Chill.

It was somehow interesting. But there was lots of asinine stuff in it.
There were interesting stuff, like that during this period [1350-1850] the canels of Venice once froze. And stuff like the river Thames freezing- I had heard about it but I was unaware that it was such a common event that Londoners had a yearly festival:
"Thames froze over at London: 1408, 1435, 1506, 1514, 1537, 1565, 1595, 1608, 1621, 1635, 1649, 1655, 1663, 1666, 1677, 1684, 1695, 1709, 1716, 1740, (1768), 1776, (1785), 1795 and 1814."

And bit of background on the year without summer- which occurred near the end of Little Ice age [due to a large volcanic eruption].
Any way this was definitely a program devoid of the fantasy of the Hockey Stick view. But still they did manage to talk about the pending doom which may be caused by CO2- though presented a mixed bag of doom: world getting much hotter +6 degree as quoted from UN prediction and plunging into another Ice age [because increased warming causes ice ages [little ones- but serious effects] or because we simply can't predict what will happen:)
