News of the JFK assassination postponed an algebra test in my senior year at Brandon High. Although I can't rule out that his murder was part of some conspiracy (The KGB?, Mafia?, John Birchers?, Pro-Castro Cubans?, Anti-Castro Cubans?), my guess is it was just what it appeared to be, another idiot with a gun who thought he could alter history to his own specifications. Just like RFK and MLK.* You can change history by striking hard at a node in time, but you cannot tell what the nature of the change is going to be.

The text is an excerpt from my memoir. The last line was optional, but it still makes me smile...

As for "Rescue Me?", I don't have cable, I don't get FOX.

*Now if you're talking Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin, THAT is definitely a conspiracy!
