This Tuesday, the Lamont-Lieberman primary will be a very interesting litmus test of where the Democratic Party is going.

The left wing of the Democratic Party is currently trying to banish from their party the man who was their vice-presidential candidate in 2000. I think that's kind of profound, don't you?

The conventional wisdom is that Lieberman is toast. We'll see. If he loses the primary, he may run as an independent, and we'll see then, too.

Does the Democratic Party still have a center?
