To think I almost missed this!

A lot of what I love has already been mentioned. Let's try for a few obscure ones, and things you boys haven't mentioned.

First, I like musicals, so...

-Singing in the Rain
-Camelot
-My Fair Lady
-West Side Story
-Guys and Dolls (both because of and in spite of Marlon Brando's only singing role)
-Holiday Inn (Astaire and Crosby: 'nuff said)
-Kiss Me, Kate
-1776

And I like comedies, so...
-Dr. Strangelove
-Ghostbusters
-Roxanne
-Grosse Pointe Blank (OK, it's violent, but it's funny as hell)
-Some Like it Hot (even if Lemmon and Curtis weren't so brilliant, you guys would watch this just to see Marilyn run to the dock in that clingy dress)
-Young Frankenstein
-The Philadelphia Story
-Talk of the Town (probably the Cary Grant movie shown the least on TV)
-The Full Monty
-Desk Set

I like classic stories, so...
-Hamlet (Olivier or Branagh, not Gibson)
-Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson)
-Much Ado About Nothing (Branagh, Thompson, and brilliant support)
-A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999: Kevin Kline & Michelle Pfeiffer)
-Pygmalion (the original play, with Wendy Hiller as Eliza and Leslie Howard as Henry Higgins)

And I like some things that no one has ever heard of, or only heard of briefly.
-The Password Is Courage
-Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment
-Hopscotch (Walter Matthau & Glenda Jackson)
-Cookie's Fortune
-Pocketful of Miracles (like "Guys and Dolls", based on a Damon Runyon story)

Guilty pleasures:
-most of the Three Stooges
-Bring It On
-My Big Fat Greek Wedding
-Clockstoppers
-The Rocketeer
-anything with Shirley Temple in it

Things that don't fit into any of those categories:
-Patton
-Boondock Saints
-the three Wallace & Grommit shorts
-Millennium Actress
-Gattica
-Walt Disney's Fantasia (original only)
-Don Juan de Marco

I could go on, especially into the realm of animation...
