Films that didn't quite work, but were interesting and unusual, albeit forgettable.
The Illustrated Man - Rod Steiger and Clare Bloom do Ray Bradbury, several times.
Quintet - Paul Newman, weird Robert Altman post-apocalyptic ice romp.
Zacharia - The first electric western. Very strange.
Islands in the Stream - The book Hemingway didn't want published. Now I know why.
Zabriskie Point - So what happened there? Antonioni's folly?
Sympathy for the Devil - No wonder the song was so good, it took the Stones 6 months to record it.
The Trip - Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson on acid, too bad I wasn't.
Wag the Dog - Great idea, great cast, lousy movie. What went wrong?
Krippendorf's Tribe - Great idea, great cast, lousy movie. Everything went wrong.
A Boy and His Dog - The only Harlan Ellison project I ever cared for. Just barely.
Pirates of the Caribbean I - I like Depp, I like boats, I like pirates, I hated this movie.
Eyes Wide Shut - What was Stanley thinking?
The Unforgiven - Your basic Eastwood horse opera; what did everyone see in this movie?
