The Zero-G Airbus

Last tuesday, as a member of the Eurospace Society, I was in charge of taking a group of students and teachers to our military airport, Melsbroek, where the Zero-G Airbus had landed with students who flew from Bordeaux, France performing 0G parabolic flights.

I went inside the plane....and saw the experiments.

A surprise was to meet Guerric who was among the students who flew wednesday to Bordeaux. He had an experiment involving capillarity. I know him as a member of an astronomy club.
Guerric just mailed me that he had the time of his life and didn't turn green.

While in the plane (I did not fly), I saw Philippe Perrin, former STS 111 astronaut and spacewalker...this was a surprise and I forgot to tell him I saw his liftoff 19 minutes later from home, on june 5 2002.

It was a great day ! And I talked a lot at dinner in the evening....Teachers were eager to know what happened to Pluto:-)
