Look up Halton Arp (who got banned for being heretical against the Big Bang dogma), Plasma redshift, and intrinsic redshift. There's your revolution waiting in the wings.
It's nothing short of revealing the astrophysical "oops" that was the doppeler-only redshift model. Doppeler may play some part, but intrinsic redshift is quickly gaining momentum, the more data we take in and analyze. And it WILL require a bit of a massive rethink, since it skews our luminosity, size, mass and distance assumptions, as well as undermining the basis of the big bang model.
I look forward the astrophysicists' deathmatch that's coming.
