re: Tampa Tribune

No, I remember it as being a very big article (about a quarter of a page) on the front page of a back section. Listen, Mohammed Atta's life story is available to all Floridians along with the connections of the Venice Flight School (Huffman Aviation) owned by Wally Hilliard and paid for with a million dollars in cash. He is one of Jeb Bush's biggest financial supporters in that state.
One of his jets was found with 43 lbs. of heroin in it at the Orlando Executive Airport the same month Mohammed Atta arrived in Florida. I remember seeing that on the TV news when it happened. One of the biggest private hauls in Florida's history, yet no one was arrested, even after being surrounded by SWAT teams; they all walked.
(Atta was no "flight student", he had international pilots' licensces according to his girlfriend....AND a get out of jail free card from the FBI and FAA).

And it was one of Hilliard's jets that flew out of Raytheon Services next to McDill Airforce base in Tampa to get the Saudis out of the country a day or two after 9-11, while all other planes were grounded. The pilot's names are public record. They flew to Lexington Kentucky, because they had horse farms there.
I suggest if you're REALLY interested in what happened in sleepy ole Florida that you get a copy of "Welcome to Terrorland" <here.>
