You believe that religion should be banished. The First protects your religious belief, and your right to speak about it in public. Likewise, it protects those you despise.

In the not-so-distant past, someone who spoke like you would be on the fast track to the gallows. Memories of religious persecution, including persecution of the unbeliever, grounds the First Amendment, and you tread on it at your peril. I repeat to you what I said to Lee: Think about this carefully. The crackpot group you save may be your own.
