not a "Democratic" organization
There may be evidence that an organization which supports liberal causes and Democratic candidates was involved.
That is NOT the same as a "Democratic organization", which implies an official body of the party, whether DNC, one of the Congressional caucuses, etc.
If it turned out that someone at the Club for Growth or one of the Powerline bloggers or the like was similarly connected, I suspect you would object to us saying that a "Republican organization" was to blame.
