Holy catfish.

It's inevitable that if Democrats succeed in forcing a redeployment of US forces currently pinned down in Iraq, our position will be strengthened when it comes to dealing with other problems like Iran and NK. As it is, they all know we can't back up any threats we make, and the continued defiance shows their calculation of our position right now.

I can't believe you actually wrote that paragraph. It is incredible that you believe our position would be strengthened by a defeat in Iraq, a defeat in the face of homemade road bombs, snipers, and fewer total casualties from a three-year war than we took from almost any single major battle in WWII. That somehow our enemies would believe we were more of a threat at that point than we are now.

No entity on the planet is ever going to fear our military again, short of a real genocidal war.

I'll ask you the sort of question I've been asking Bowser:

Say we have pulled out of Iraq, and that country is in flames. We have all our ground troops out now. They are demoralized, defeated, and let down again by their own side, but by God, they're safe from harm. And isn't that the prime goal of a military man?

Now, let's say Iran, still working on nukes, tells us to take a flying leap. The U.N. is still useless. Economic sanctions fall flat in the face of nations perfectly willing to sell rope to the monsters and buy their oil.

Exactly what the hell are you going to DO with all those newly free-up troops, Robert? Specifics please. I am getting damn tired of verbal gas.
