Turning the other cheek usually just gives the other guy a second shot at you.

Precisely not!

If A turns the other cheek to B, A is showing B he's the strongest and when B realizes that (the recognition A is weaker), he stops slapping.
Because you don't hit someone who is weaker.

Carter enabled my family and myself to travel to the States, as the airplane tickets got a lot cheaper.
