When I look at the comments, I wonder if people really know what that old saying means.
The planet is full of the graves of people who were in the moral right. The Jews in Europe and elsewhere have thought long and hard on this issue over many generations.
Don't confuse restraint with weakness. We are fighting under very difficult conditions and attempting to limit civilian damage. It may be possible that you can't fight a war under these terms, and we're only beginning to learn it now.
