I'm sick and tired myself of idiots who think history began in 2001. The Middle East has been a zoo for many years, and the "realist" politics of the past few decades are part of the reason. Democrats and Republicans, the "realists" believed that monsters like Arafat, Saddam, and others could be dealt with by just using the right combinations of words. When it was the Soviets, this was called "detente." The belief that if someone dedicated to your destruction kept coming to the diplomatic parties, you didn't have anything to worry about.

Relax. Iran and Saudi Arabia aren't going to go to war. Most of what you are "predicting" isn't going to happen. If the Middle East didn't descend into permanent chaos during the Iran-Iraq War, or Desert Storm, why should it happen now? Even assuming Iraq goes to hell?
