Went to the U of Minn year ago, and more recently I worked at Stanford for a few years.

Got to see a LOT of the academic environment there, and I can only imagine what it must be like in places like UC Santa Cruz.

It's nice to talk about professors dispassionately studying things like Marxism as objective subjects in economics, but a lot of the ones I saw were part of the fan club.
