I like that Chavez, in a country with a very lot of poor people, is more interested in human beings than profits for multi-national corporations.
He seems interested in utilizing his countries resources for his countries people. Noble.
The fact that he is trying to rule by decree shouldn't bother any Conservative American. George W. Bush has been doing the same thing for 6 years, with a Republican Congress abdicating any responsibility in favor of the Executive Brance. Conservatives cannot complain about Chavez without damning their own preferred form of government.
It's despicable when Chavez does it. It's despicable when Bush does it.
Now, does the fact that I approve of using national resources for the benefits of people along the lines that Chavez is trying mean that I "worship at the feet" of Chavez?
Current Events » in reply to That makes some sense, I'll grant. Now, "worshipping at the feet"?
For instance.
