At least we've gotten to the meat of it.
The congressional hearings aren't about investigating, they're about a Democratic witch hunt. At present, the destruction of the Bush administration is the only issue on their docket.
I have no doubt that another few weeks of this kind of barrage attack will raise something other than "can be read as" allegations. I predict it will be on the order of an inconsistency of testimony, or using government computers for political e-mails.
Bush needs to figure out where he left his balls. At some point he has to realize that no amount of cooperation or conciliation is going to appease the Democrats.
