The people who run the show always ride in limousines and live in mansions. It ain't no different in capitalist paradises. The difference is that capitalists feel they deserve it, and that non-capitalists aren't entitled to it. Maybe Gore has these luxuries because he earned them too. I presume he has investments, and he gets a paycheck. Why can't he use them just like you use yours?
There seems to be a not-so-hidden resentment amongst the business class and their apologists for anyone who doesn't get their money by being a member of that class. Wealthy athletes and rock stars or Hollywood celebrities are usually showered with this contempt, not because they reaped the rewards someone felt willing to pay them for their services, but because their athletic skills or performing abilities somehow don't deserve the big bucks. The parasites who exploit these stars though, the agents, managers, league commisioners, promoters, studio executives etc, are different. No one ever seems to complain they live too well. I guess it's 'cause they wear suits and work in the office.
Just because I think we're unnecessarily promoting oil consumption for private profit does not mean I have to take the bus to work for my opinions to be legitimate.
