Ted Nugent

My brother knows Ted Nugent, the super right-wing rock star (can't stand his politics, love his music) and he loves to tell this story about the Motor City Madman. Nugent felt he was being stiffed by promoters on the gate receipts at his concerts, so he hired an aerial photographer to take a picture of one performance. Sure enough, he was able to prove that the number of fans was being misrepresented and he was, indeed, being stiffed.

The reporter who was interviewing him about this interrupted him, saying in essence, that he was a very wealthy man and already was making a lot of money from his performances. The implication being, that, somehow, he was being too greedy for demanding his fair share (the unspoken implication: the promoter was not being too greedy by stealing Ted's).

The rocker's response was to the point, "The people paid to see Ted Nugent, Ted Nugent should get paid."
