The people who run the show always ride in limousines and live in mansions. It ain't no different in capitalist paradises. The difference is that capitalists feel they deserve it, and that non-capitalists aren't entitled to it. Maybe Gore has these luxuries because he earned them too. I presume he has investments, and he gets a paycheck. Why can't he use them just like you use yours?
The issue isn't whether or not Gore earned his wealth, stole it, found a chest of gold on a desert island, or Tipper drop a golden egg in the john once a day.
I have no problems with him, Travolta, Rush Limbaugh, Ted Turner, John Edwards, or any other millionaire flaunting their wealth. Most of them earned it, and even most of the rest inherited it from someone who did. Good Lord, even in the short time you've been here you should know that I, of all people, do not believe wealth is inherently a crime.
My problem is with them doing all this while, at the SAME TIME, they are deciding that I and the rest of the peons have to be forced to drive a compact car, limit my travel, change all my lightbulbs, use a composting toilet, and put up with whatever other restrictions they feel my life needs to put me in good with Gaia.
This simple concept cannot have escaped you.
And if I have to explain the difference between a dictator's palace and John Travolta's big house, then I don't know where to start. You SURE you hail from Cuba?
