"I don't know what you're talking about in the third paragraph. Current temps are the near the highest of any interglacial period in the last few million years. "

Why is it that only pwokenyaw claims this- you have some special knowledge?

There are two periods in last 10,000 years and these warm periods lasted at least several centuries of time. A large chunk of recorded human history has been around our current global temperature or warmer [Medieval warm period & Holocene Climate Optimum].
When grapes can grow in England then you will know, we are getting as warm as it's been.
During the time of human existence the average temperature has been cooler than most of previous times. There are some claims that this cooler and drier period had significant influence in causing human evolution.

"The AR4 IPCC prediction for the next few decades is about 0.2C/decade increase, with the rate likely accelerating over time. "
So you are betting it will be at least 75% of 0.2C/decade increase?
Does this include subtracting any temperature increase from Urban Heat Island affect?
