MBH '98 was a worldwide graph, generally supported by subsequent research, especially for the last 500 years, covering the majority of the LIA.
The LIA, Mann argues, was a regional effect, and a regional effect would not show up in a worldwide graph.
I don't know why that's so hard to understand.
"Nor would it show up in his graph of the Northern Hemisphere." If Mann had made a graph that was just the Northern Hemisphere, it may have shown up (the data has been freely available for years if you care to look it up). I think the evidence is unclear whether the LIA covered the entire hemisphere or just major parts.
I would agree with you that if Mann's Northern European proxies didn't show cooling during the LIA, that would indicate a problem with those proxies. You have not demonstrated the slightest indication that that is the case. In other words, go look at the data before regurgitating indefensible claims.
