On many levels I was still in my 'honeymoon' of life....My youngest was a senior, and I was so looking forward to starting the next phase of that life. Many, many things that were life changing occured at the same time the Towers fell....so in many aspects, I do not know what I feel from 9/11 and what is from the road I have personally travelled since then.
Thus, the 'whatever' attitude....everything came at me so rapid fire that I just basically sat back and held on for dear life....coping on a day to day basis.
The older I get the harder it is for me to process how I feel about significant events. Be it personally, [or even in the nation or world.] It is not that I take them personally...but my heart aches that it even happens at all.
