to get my family home and safe. After the Pentagon was hit I was sure that it would continue all down the Eastern Seaboard...and then where?
I knew immediately that it was OBL...I do not know how I knew..it wasn't that I was particularly up on the news...but his name popped in my head. My son-in-law [to be] came over. He had been out of the Navy for 2 years, and was raised across the river from the Towers. He just fell in my arms and cried....I fell apart on the 14th. I was watching TV...they were showing some of the clean-up...and it was live. I know they did not mean to show this, but I saw a mans' forearm get scooped up by one of the cranes' shovels. I saw his hand, his watch...*sigh*
I remember 2 weeks later, I was driving to Wal-Mart. Half way there, I started thinking about the Towers . I just turned around and went home. What I needed seemed unimportant.
Thank you REB
