Men are logical to a fault. They hit a wall when things do not make logical sense. This is mainfested in the very fabric of the male...thus the fight or flight....very logical, black and white responses....anything else is "illogical'...and a compromise seems to be understood as failure.
Mens' physical need for sex is a major driving force...and the mans' mojo is the very switch a woman can flip to make him feel rejection or desired...and this is frightening to a man..[that we have that kind of ability, which to a man is translated to power]
A man's idea of vulnerable is to brave the ocean with an impending thunderstorm brewing. [THIS is illogical for a woman.] Our idea of vulnerable is to understand that you will not go out in that storm, because you KNOW how she will worry about your safety.
Men are more about what is good for himself, whereas, women are more about what is better for all.
