If the bear is after you, maybe it's best you don't hear it??!!
Actually, except for grizzly bears, the people who get hurt are messing with the bear, or, very rarely, get between a mother and her cub and don't get out of the way. Bears like to eat, don't particulary like to fight if they don't have to.
