This is not an issue that can be settled by a dialogue on a computer bulletin board, in fact, it's not really an issue that can be settled at all, it's more of a "food for thought" question.
Both statements, "we are approaching the end of physics", and "we will never approach the end of physics", are not really contradictory--and they are both fundamentally unprovable. The truth (if there is such a thing!) no doubt lies somewhere in between; and certainly it is too early to make a decision one way or the other. Technology still has so far to go before it catches up even with the physics we already know.
I'm simply trying to point out that in our enthusiasm as technologists and engineers, we often tend to forget that nature has a way of surprising us, and it is it, not we, that always gets the last word. And we may not like what it has to say.
